Donruss Optic aims to fill the Chrome void

Over the years as a collector, I have been a huge Topps Cards guy.

With that said, I haven't been able to buy a new Topps Basketball card for years now, and as of this year, can no longer buy new Topps football cards.

That left us all with no choice but to trust the hands at Panini America.

Luckily, they haven't left us hanging too much in year one.

I was pleased to see Panini Origins come about and take over where Inception left off, and now we have seen the release of Donruss Optic as Panini's own version of Topps Chrome.

Honestly, if I get over myself and my grumpiness at having to buy from one company, Panini did a great job with Optic. It's filled with refractors and all kinds of shiny things (I mean, who doesn't like pulling a shiny version of a Rated Rookie card?!)

But don't just take my word for it, take a look at Panini's blog, showcasing the different cards in a box!
